Howling at the moon

There is legend among the Ojibway indian elders of Jesus who walked with wolves. After Jesus taught the elders, he left the North American native people. The wolves deeply missed and loved him. Not a single wolf ever forgot his tender touch, his kindness, and love. From that day on, the wolves sang at the moon in the same way they had sung with Jesus. He had told the wolves to never stop singing in this way that their hearts would always be able to reach him across the evening sky. ~from Shamanic Christianty, by Bradford Keeney

~

Listen to the howl of the wolf.
His lonely cry to the moon.

His primeival song of longing and dance.
For the sound of hearts beating as one.

Of long known connection of mystery beyond understanding.
Satisfying the deep core of truth and love everlasting.

To the giver of life and creation inspire.
To my beloved, my friend, my soul's pure delight.

I sing at the moon.

The diary/blog that you are putting together here is beautiful, Troy. Contents worthy of a published book.
I see you were up late last night with the wolves. Know that you weren't alone, there were many others with you.
